The Il-18 accident in Arkhangelsk was an aviation accident that occurred on 27 August 1966 at Arkhangelsk Talagi Airport. An Il-18V airliner of the Riga Joint Aviation Squadron of the airline Aeroflot was beginning scheduled passenger flight SU-3772 on the Riga — Arkhangelsk — Leningrad route, but during takeoff at Arkhangelsk Talagi Airport the airliner veered sharply to the right. Soon the airliner ran off the runway and was destroyed. None of the 121 people on board — 114 passengers and 7 crew members — were killed; of the survivors, 10 people were injured.
