The Il-18 crash in the settlement of Sheremetyevskoye near Sheremetyevo Airport occurred to an aircraft of the Soviet Air Force during a test flight on Wednesday, 7 May 1958, killing 10 people. It was the first accident in the history of the Il-18.

The Il-18 (aircraft commander, 1st pilot Colonel Vladimir Lukich Dorosev) was performing a test flight when a failure and fire of engine No. 2 (left inboard) occurred. The problem was that during the fire the propeller feathering system failed, and due to windmilling the propeller created high aerodynamic drag. A moment arose that the crew could not compensate for. While attempting to make a forced landing at Sheremetyevo Airport, the aircraft went out of control and fell onto a plot in the settlement of Sheremetyevsky between private houses. As a result of the engine failure the Il-18 aircraft, on board which was a group of high-ranking military officers, crashed. All those in the aircraft (10 people) were killed; there were no casualties among the residents of the settlement.
