The accident
The aircraft had departed from Brazzaville - Maya-Maya Airport bound for Pointe Noire Airport carrying food, a minibus and three other vehicles. While attempting to land on runway 05, the aircraft crashed into a cemetery 11 kilometres south-east of Maya-Maya Airport at Nganga Lingolo, a town on the outskirts of Brazzaville, at 06:00 local time (05:00 UTC). All 5 Ukrainian crew members and the Congolese passenger died on impact.
