The Aero Ica OB-1266 flight of 9 April 2008 over the Nazca Lines, a Cessna U206C Super Skywagon, suffered an accident minutes before landing. It was on a flight from and to María Reiche Neuman Airport, in the town of Vista Alegre, located on the outskirts of the Ica city of Nazca, in Peru. The light aircraft registered OB-1266 crashed into the wall of a house adjoining the airport, after grazing some electric power cables. Its five passengers, all of them French, died in the impact; only the pilot managed to survive. It is the second worst air tragedy in the Department of Ica, after two light aircraft collided in mid-air in the same province, an event that happened in 1997.

On April 9, 2008, about 1530 Peruvian local time, a Cessna U206C, Peruvian registration OB-1266, operated by Aero Ica S.A.C., was destroyed when it impacted terrain while returning to land at Maria Reiche Airport (SPZA), Nazca, Ica Province, Peru. The Peruvian commercial pilot incurred minor injuries and the five French passengers were fatally injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the sightseeing flight conducted under Peruvian flight regulations.
According to information released by the Peruvian government, the airplane departed Maria Reiche Airport runway 07 for the Nazca Lines, and was airborne for about 1 minute when the pilot attempted to return to the airport. The airplane descended into a power line and hit a house before impacting the terrain. The accident occurred in the vicinity of 14 degrees, 51.47 minutes south latitude, 74 degrees, 58.17 minutes west longitude.
