On 28 June 1969 an Ilyushin Il-14 crashed on the Soviet domestic scheduled flight Aeroflot Flight Sch-28 (Russian Cyrillic: Рейс Ш-28 Аэрофлота, transcribed: Rejs Sch-28 Aeroflota) from Talas to Frunze (today: Bishkek), killing all 40 occupants. Until Iran Aseman Airlines Flight 6895, it was the deadliest air accident in present-day Kyrgyzstan.
