On Saturday 19 October 2013 a Pilatus Porter aircraft, a small transport aircraft, crashed in Fernelmont. On board were the pilot and ten parachutists. None of them survived the crash. The aircraft had departed from Namur-Temploux airfield, among other things for the first flight of one of the passengers.
