The 2012 Air Force CASA C-101 crash was an aviation accident that took place at 10:40 (UTC +2) on 26 April 2012. The crashed aircraft, a CASA C-101EB belonging to the General Air Academy of the Spanish Air Force, had taken off from Murcia-San Javier Airport to carry out a scheduled San Javier-Madrid-San Javier training flight.
The accident occurred on the outbound leg, during the approach to Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base, when the aircraft plunged to the ground in Alcalá de Henares near the Alcalá Meco prison.
