VARIG Flight 265 (flight number RG265) was a domestic flight of the airline VARIG from Marabá Airport to Carajás Airport. On 14 February 1997 the accident of a Boeing 737-2C3 with the registration PP-CJO occurred on this flight, when the right main landing gear broke during landing, the aircraft left the runway and skidded into a forest. The first officer was killed in the accident, and six people were also injured.
