NTSB narrative
On May 16, 2017, about 0530 hours universal coordinated time, an Ayres S2R airplane, French registration F-GIEN, was substantially damaged during a forced landing following a loss of engine power near Candillargues, France. The pilot was not injured. The local flight had departed from the Montipellier-Candillargues Airport (LFNG).
The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses (BEA). This report is for informational purposes only and contains information obtained from the government of the France.
